I have played millions of hands of chemin de fer. I began sneaking into the gambling dens when I was still underage. I have played online chemin de fer, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a short while. With all that said I have still lost all kinds of money at blackjack. The casinos have made it very hard to defeat the casino.

I still like the game and gamble on a regular basis. Over this time period I have bet on a variation of vingt-et-un called "The Take it Leave it Method". You won’t get loaded with this method or defeat the house, however you will have a lot of fun. This tactic is centered on the idea that chemin de fer appears to be a match of runs. When you’re hot your hot, and when you are not you are NOT!

I bet with basic strategy vingt-et-un. When I lose I bet the table minimum on the subsequent hand. If I don’t win again I bet the table minimum on the subsequent hand again etc. As soon as I profit I take the winnings paid to me and I bet the original wager again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I win again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original wager. I continue betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I lose I lower the action back down to the original sum.

I am very strict and never back out. It gets extremely fun on occasion. If you succeed at a few hands in a row your wagers go up very fast. Before you know it you are betting $100-200/ hand. I have had fantastic streaks a number of times now. I left a $5 table at the MGM a number of years back with $750 after 45 minutes using this method! And a number of months ago in Vegas I left a game with $1200!

You have to understand that you can say good-bye to a great deal faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be surprised at the runs you see betting this way. Below is a guide of what you would wager if you kept winning at a 5 dollar game.

Take five dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial 5 dollar bet

Bet five dollar
Leave five dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of ten dollar

Bet $10
Take ten dollar paid-out to you, leave the original 10 dollar bet

Bet ten dollar
Leave 10 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of twenty dollar

Wager twenty dollar
Take twenty dollar paid to you, leave the initial 20 dollar wager

Bet twenty dollar
Leave 20 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of forty dollar

Wager 40 dollar
Take $40 paid to you, leave the first $40 wager

Wager $40
Leave forty dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of 80 dollar

Bet eighty dollar
Take 80 dollar paid to you, leave the original $80 wager

Wager $80
Leave 80 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of one hundred and sixty dollar

Bet 160 dollar
Take 160 dollar paid to you, leave the original one hundred and sixty dollar bet

If you left at this instance you would be up $315 !!

It is difficult to go on a run this long, but it often happen. And when it does you must NOT deviate and lower your bet or the end result will not be the same.
