I have played countless of rounds of twenty-one. I started sneaking into the gambling dens when I was sixteen. I have wagered on online chemin de fer, I have counted cards, and worked with a team for a short while. With all that said I have still spent a lot of cash at vingt-et-un. The casinos have made it nearly impossible to defeat the house.
I still enjoy the game and gamble on a regular basis. Over the years I have gambled on a variation of 21 called "The Take it Leave it Method". You certainly won’t get flush with this method or beat the casino, however you will experience an abundance of fun. This method is built on the fact that chemin de fer seems to be a game of streaks. When you are on fire your hot, and when you’re not you’re NOT!
I wager with basic strategy vingt-et-un. When I do not win I bet the table minimum on the successive hand. If I don’t win again I wager the table minimum on the successive hand again etc. Once I profit I take the payout paid to me and I wager the original wager again. If I win this hand I then leave the winnings paid to me and now have double my original bet on the table. If I succeed again I take the payout paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original bet. I continue betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I do not win I lower the bet back down to the original amount.
I am very disciplined and never "chicken out". It gets extremely enjoyable sometimes. If you win a few hands in series your bets go up very quick. Before you know it you are betting $100-200/ hand. I have had fantastic streaks a few times now. I left a $5 table at the Wynn a few years back with $750 after 20 mins using this tactic! And a few weeks ago in Macau I left a table with $1200!
You must understand that you can give away a lot faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more thrilling. And you will be astonished at the streaks you witness playing this way. Below is a chart of what you would bet if you continue winning at a $5 table.
Bet $5
Take five dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial five dollar wager
Wager $5
Leave $5 paid-out to you for a total bet of $10
Bet ten dollar
Take 10 dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial $10 wager
Wager $10
Leave 10 dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of 20 dollar
Wager twenty dollar
Take 20 dollar paid to you, leave the initial twenty dollar wager
Wager $20
Leave twenty dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of 40 dollar
Wager 40 dollar
Take forty dollar paid-out to you, leave the original $40 bet
Bet 40 dollar
Leave forty dollar paid to you for a total wager of 80 dollar
Bet $80
Take eighty dollar paid to you, leave the original 80 dollar bet
Wager 80 dollar
Leave eighty dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of 160 dollar
Wager one hundred and sixty dollar
Take 160 dollar paid to you, leave the initial 160 dollar wager
If you departed at this point you would be up $315 !!
It’s hard to go on a run this long, but it will happen. And when it does you mustn’t alter and drop your bet or the end result will not be the same.
