I have played millions of hands of chemin de fer. I started sneaking into the gambling dens when I was 16. I have bet on online 21, I have counted cards, and worked as part of a team for a short while. With all that said I have still lost a lot of cash at blackjack. The gambling dens have made it almost impossible to defeat the game.
I still enjoy the game and gamble on a frequent basis. Over the years I have enjoyed a variation of chemin de fer called "The Take it Leave it Method". You will not get flush with this method or defeat the house, still you will have an abundance of fun. This tactic is centered on the idea that 21 seems to be a match of runs. When you’re hot your hot, and when you are not you’re NOT!
I wager with basic strategy vingt-et-un. When I don’t win I bet the lowest amount allowed on the next hand. If I do not win again I wager the table minimum on the successive hand again etc. As soon as I profit I take the payout paid to me and I bet the initial bet again. If I win this hand I then keep in play the winnings paid to me and now have double my original wager on the table. If I win again I take the winnings paid to me, and if I succeed the next hand I leave it for a total of four times my original wager. I keep betting this way "Take it Leave it etc". Once I lose I return the action back down to the original amount.
I am very strict and never "chicken out". It gets very enjoyable sometimes. If you win a few hands in sequence your wagers go up very quick. Before you realize it you are betting $100-200per hand. I have had awesome runs a number of times now. I left a $5 table at the Flamingo a couple of years ago with $750 after 60 minutes using this technique! And a few weeks ago in Macau I left a table with $1200!
You have to understand that you can lose a lot faster this way too!. But it really makes the game more exciting. And you will be surprised at the runs you notice wagering this way. Below is a chart of what you would bet if you kept winning at a 5 dollar game.
Wager $5
Take $5 paid to you, leave the first $5 bet
Bet 5 dollar
Leave five dollar paid to you for a total bet of $10
Bet ten dollar
Take 10 dollar paid to you, leave the original ten dollar bet
Bet $10
Leave ten dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of $20
Bet $20
Take $20 paid to you, leave the initial $20 wager
Bet 20 dollar
Leave 20 dollar paid-out to you for a total bet of $40
Bet $40
Take forty dollar paid-out to you, leave the original 40 dollar bet
Bet forty dollar
Leave 40 dollar paid-out to you for a total wager of 80 dollar
Bet eighty dollar
Take eighty dollar paid-out to you, leave the initial 80 dollar bet
Bet eighty dollar
Leave $80 paid-out to you for a total wager of $160
Wager 160 dollar
Take 160 dollar paid to you, leave the original $160 bet
If you left at this instance you would be up $315 !!
It’s iffy to go on a run this long, but it often happen. And when it does you mustn’t deviate and drop your bet or the final result won’t be the same.
